Admittedly, I've heard if you're accessing the dark web at all you should be using Tails since it runs on the RAM instead of your hard storage

Kali and Parrot are offensive distributions, and quite literally make your Tor session less secure than if you used a standard distro like Debian or whatever. Tails is fine.

The software you’re using is weird too. You should basically just use Tor from the official project, which will give you a much smaller fingerprint than the weird config here. Proxychains are unnecessary.

Also was that standard Firefox? That’s a terrible choice of browser to stay anonymous. Just use the official Tor browser which removes a ton of fingerprinting and sporadic web-requests.

Cybersec professional here, this absolutely not how should do it.
There's no benefit to using Kali Linux, or any other Linux distro listed in the video, ideally use Tails, or Qubes/Whonix, or just any BSD/Linux distro you're comfortable with.
Connect to Tor via the official Tor Browser Launcher, not proxy chains as a beginner. Do not use any other browser than the official Tor Browser itself, other browsers are not configured as securely as the official browser by far and could easily exploited to reveal your identity.
