The good thing about making yourself pick up books you're not excited about anymore is that you can put them aside and they are from your TBR anyway. I DNFed so many of the books when I reduced my TBR because I missed reading them when I was interested in them. It did feel good to finally have given them a try though and just let them go.

I think Amy Webb’s the Genesis Machine would be a thought inducing follow up to the Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks.

I have a similar feeling about my tbr. There is a lot of "last picks", many classics or heavy non-fiction. Stuff I eventually want to read but have passed over for years. Problem is, many of those are quite unique because I got them second hand and so I can't see myself getting rid of them.
