Anyone who cannot see the comedic and acting talent of MTM in these scenes had to have been living under a rock. One of the greatest talents ever to grace TV.

Probably the single funniest episode in television history. This episode ran short in rehearsal. The audience laughter filled in the time.

I can still hear Mary laughing after all these years. THE BEST EPISODE

Classic! Mary Tyler Moore, Ed Asner, Gavin McLeod, Betty White, Georgia Engel and Ted Knight at their best!😊😅😂🤣

When I was a kid and hurt myself, my dad would say, "Did you fall down and hurt your foo foo?" He loved MTM. He was the funniest man I ever knew. RIP, Dad.

I put this as one of the top ten funniest moments on tv.

IIRC, TV Guide named this episode the greatest in TV comedy history. I can't disagree. More than that, though, I miss the utter class of Mary Tyler Moore. What an astonishingly beautiful person.

MTM was a stonecold fox. She was never more gorgeous than she was here. Brilliant acting and timing, too.

We watched this show every Saturday when I was a kid, what a great show😂

Honestly, it was so funny the night it first aired, I said right then it deserved an Emmy. Mary's acting is, of course brilliant. But my goodness! How hard was it for the entire cast to sit straight-faced through that funeral scene? And with a live audience laughing, to boot? 😂😂 Priceless!

There are certain comedy scenes that never get old and nor should they and this is one of them! Thanks for the post!

I loved these actors! I grew up with them in my living room. Them, Carol Burnett, Tim Conway Harvey Korman, Viki Lawrence. Oh my goodness, Betty White! That woman was terribly funny. These people were treasure back then. God bless all of them! Many are gone, but a few are here.

I remember watching this episode. We would watch the show as a family back then.

Apparently, Chuckles Bites the Dust was classified as one of the greatest sitcom episodes ever made.

This was one of my dad's favorite episodes in all of television. When he died, we were sitting in church at his funeral, and we, his daughters, suddenly thought of Chuckles' funeral, and we all started laughing. Poppi would have been proud.

I can watch this over and over. It never stops being funny!
