I agree I do this when I write my lyrics for songs then to memorizing

This is literally the only reason I was able to memorize my monologue for A Midsummer Night's Dream. Shakespeare sucks but at least it's easy to remember once you figure out what it means.

I'm doing the same thing, but I'm breaking up the lines into parts, starting to remember the first part, then the next. This makes it easier for me.
