Rtings is truly the best they've ever been. Transparency around data is so much better, and abby is the greatest presenter you've ever had. Honestly abby is the best thing to happen to rtings because she is a solid public speaker. More impressive is the blend of rtings website data and real time b roll of the products in action. Very nice change. I'm enjoying this new rtings. Good job Patrick. ✌️

I bought the QM7 in 55-inch a week ago. Let me tell you that sucker gets nuclear bright. I watched Avatar way of water and it looked Ava tarded it looked great. For what I paid it was a steal.

So the question is 98 inch the same as these models reviewed ? I would liike to have a dedicated review for this model on that size

I have a request/ suggestion. Something I'd really love to see included in rtings testing is which tvs motion processing is better with less artifacts. Some like myself use and love these settings and buy with this in mind for action movies and gaming.

Great review, also of the U8N you did previously .

In comparing brightness to the U8N you state that the QM851 is brighter, but show that the U8N gets to to 3691 nits @ 10%, while the QM851 gets up to 3467 nits .

Nitpicking aside (😂), which one is truly brighter ?

I have the U8K 75" with ADS Pro Panel and am mesmerized, but I may consider the QM851 or U8N for another room .

I have the 75 inch qm851g. It's a great tv and the gaming performance is fantastic. I highly recommend it.

You said the VRR motion bugs seem to happen at 65hz, does that mean at that mark or above and below 65?

If it’s below, that’s the golden range for 40-60 fps for consoles so it’s pretty much a no go as a gaming TV. At 65hz, it would affect frame rate unlocked games that push over 60hz. Still a pretty significant issue that almost negates the benefits of VRR over a locked mode.

Also when VRR fails to kick in, does the TV indicate that it’s falsely in VRR mode?

What about C775 C805 or QM8B? It's so confusing T-T

I’m interested in how this compares to the Sony Bravia 7. No surprise the B9 is the better tv but the B7 is the actual competition for the QM8 I’d think?

We bought the 2023 55" C805K in the UK from Amazon which is a QD-Mini LED model. Whilst the picture quality was crazy good, the implementation of Google TV was truly dreadful - not responding to the remote half the time and forcing multiple hard resets before we sent the TV back to the retailer. TCL's support were also really poor and pushed back against the return. I would not recommend any TCL TV regardless of the series and buy Hisense or Samsung instead.
