I'm 20, I've been wearing a pair of their hiking boots daily for 5 years and they've still been really good. no lack of performance. I remember walking on painted concrete and metal surfaces at school in the rain and I would never slip in them. They are absolute tanks.

I have a pair of Timbs that have been with me for 22 years now! They aren’t the traditional wheat, nubuck. They look a lot like red wings, with a smooth dark reddish leather. Great boots!!!

Nice general overview of the brand. Although Having been involved in the development and global sourcing of TBL leathers for nearly 30 years, even I learned a few things. And it was a treat to spot my mentor, Ed P. on the left side of the screen at the 7:30 mark. As rough and tumble a “pull no punches” blue collar New Englander as you’d ever want to meet. You may have even survived too, if he liked you.
A couple of issues: 1) the mention of relocating to Tennessee at the 3:30 mark is not quite correct. The Mountain City TN factory was an expansion not a relocation. When I joined in 1990, the corporate offices were in Hampton, NH, and manufacturing was done in Bangor Maine, Mountain City, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico. Of those only the DR location currently remains, with various other countries now involved.
ONE LAST THING: The“lynching tree” reference is absolute garbage. Spending nearly 30 years at the corporate offices and having traveled to nearly every TBL manufacturing location I had never heard any reference to this RIDICULOUS supposition nor any negative racial references whatsoever. That’s not who Timberland are.

I remember a time when people thought I was sponsored by Timberland 🙌🏾-I got a few pairs that I own for over 15 years, one of them has experienced very harsh conditions and yet they still waterproof, for me that is value over price. #RSA🇿🇦

I've been thinking of actually getting a pair of the Earthkeeper Original 6inch boots. Heard lots of good things from people who bought them about 10 years ago but newer reviews have pointed out that they're falling apart quickly, especially around the pull tab and the cemented connection between the sole and upper. Anyone care to weigh in on this?

"Butters" are refering to the regular leather chuckas and 6 inch "constructs". The construction Tims are called "constructs" by everybody, not just Philly and NYC.
