Definitely! Rule number 4 is something that I have felt profoundly. I graduated university in July and have been really pushing my Business' BI, which has lead to me doing alot of research. Finding that the more I do research, I do in fact know very little! I ended up putting my learning on the shelf for a little bit and focused on purely the value and solving real data problems. I have learned more this way for sure! But hey, I had a good start with the 20 percent! I learned it from you before I started my Summer Internship in 2019, and guess what?! I'm now a graduate with the same company! Haha, thanks for everything Avi. You're an inspiration

I actually did a powerBI course on linkedin and put it on my CV. got an internship to work as a data officer which includes powerBI tool reporting. I am excited and nervous both because i never had hands on experience with a real-time data. Your Point 4 gave me confidence ! I plan to learn and do simultaneously!

Single most comprehensive guide on how to approach Power BI learning, IMHO. I agree that one has to be careful not to fall in this "learning paradox", but trying but browsing through this remaning 80% gives you idea of what are the possibilities with Power BI. This, in turn, will make your life easier as you apporach real life cases.

Rule number 3 makes me smile. I learned this, to my cost, 20 years ago. My project for A level (roughly AP level for Americans) IT I just invented a client and business issue. My project was turd. I got told it included some very strong technical elements but it looked like I had just learned a bunch of functions and then invented something to wrap around them. Which was basically exactly what I had done.
