Ask R U OK any day! 🧡
This is a reminder to check in with your mates, not just today, but ANY day! And while this video could be described as somewhat generic, it is more of a guide than anything on what to do after you've asked the question R U OK? Everyone is different, and what people are going through can be incredibly complex, but as long as you LISTEN, ENCOURAGE ACTION, and keep CHECKING IN, you are helping. Not to be dramatic, but in some cases, you could help to save a life. 🫶
Don't forget to check in on YOU either, because it can be hard to help others if you're fighting battles of your own. If you're feeling off, don't wait for someone to ask R U OK? Be open with how you're feeling and talk about it. If you're really not comfortable opening up to friends or family, seek professional help. Remember, it's okay to not be okay. 🙂
Now, some people don't like organisations promoting R U OK Day, we get it. But, we will continue to participate and promote the day because it is so important, and if it only helps one individual to open up about their mental health struggles or seek professional help, then we think it's absolutely worth it.
