i really want them to go back and unrestrict some items, there's so many that don't mess with hitboxes at all that would be really nice to use all year round, even the Halloween mvm canteen is Halloween restricted, which is barely even noticeable

valve should have added a head hitbox to the cosmetic that can count as a headshot

I'm all for Valve updating these restrictions for more items. Some things just don't really make sense.

I'm glad of the change, the item was too silly for normal cosmetics, even amoung already silly cosmetics

Tbh kinda sucks but now we technically have a bugged item if it's strange 👁️
Which has raised the strange prices A LOT
I really didn't think that the corpse carrier changed the silhouette that much because it still- looks like scout
And the corpse carrier is still bugged and the head just
Disappears-
If you're not in render range of it
So snipers actually wouldn't have a problem-

I personally think ALL Halloween items should be unrestricted BUT add a setting (that would be off by default. this way new players don't have to worry about this and cause issue) that allows you to turn Halloween items on and off unless it is spooky month or a server has it turned on(then everyone would see things as normal.) like here's the scenario. I'm playing a valve server in May and have the voodoo cosmetic on, I can see it cause I have Halloween on (kind of like Halloween vision) and anyone who has it on can see it as well but anyone who has it off wouldn't see it and would see basically a regular class with what ever else they might have on (assuming they don't got more restricted items on. if they do the person would just see default class) this way we can use our favorite cosmetics, Halloween or not all year and wont cause any confusion for newer people!

Valve screwed me over. I am very disappointed, I bought the course carrier since it was not Halloween restricted, I only got a cosmetic worth a few cents for the compensation of that I would have something better. And this should not happen since they approve and place these things in the game, they take a lot of time anyway on updates. I'm just a bit sad and frustrated since I don't have much money to spend on steam and hopped to get some more joy out of the new cosmetic.

I'm more confused as to why the Miami Rooster was made restricted. Isn't it just a proper mask swap like the Dead Head? And why isn't the jacket in the set also not in the game? I have so many questions from this year's Scream Fortress.

I think the Miami Rooster shouldn't be Halloween restricted
then again, you *could* make the argument that it's Richard, and not just the Richard mask, but then the mask's mouth would move...

I just think that Valve needs to remove the Halloween restrictions in general. I just think it's dumb to restrict people from using cosmetics. I mean there is no Christmas cosmetic restrictions is there? nope. So I'm not sure why a werewolf Demoman is seen as something to restrict when something like a Rudolph Pyro isn't.

i was planning to get a strange one because i liked it but..guess not. i disagree with the restriction change though, it didnt effect gameplay much if at all.
