The tragedy of Edgerunners many don't think about, Gloria wanted David to go to Arasaka for a better life, worked and sold chrome to make ends meet and died with that dream. Lucy wanted David to follow a dream of his own and make his own choice, but he decided to do the very thing she told him not to, to live for someone else's dream. Her dream, and it killed him. But the twisted part is no matter which path he chose, it doesn't have a happy ending. Sometimes I feel like life is like this very much, that no matter your choices, there are no happy endings.

I can't imagine what life will be like in the next 5 decades. Technology will probably advance a bit, tensions will probably rise, and by that time, we may not have anything left in this world. I'm going to be in my late 60's early 70's in the 2070s. I will likely get to experience most of this century. The uncertainty comes with what there will be left to experience.
