ABOUT CYBERPUNK: EDGERUNNERS
The series tells a standalone, 10-episode story about a street kid trying to survive in Night City — a technology and body modification-obsessed city of the future. Having everything to lose, he stays alive by becoming an edgerunner — a mercenary outlaw also known as a cyberpunk.

CD PROJEKT RED, the company behind the Cyberpunk 2077 video game, is producing the series with Rafał Jaki (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher: Ronin) as Showrunner and Executive Producer, with Satoru Homma, Bartosz Sztybor and Saya Elder serving as producers. The team at CD PROJEKT RED has been working on this new series since 2018. Acclaimed Japan-based animation company, Studio Trigger, will serve as the animation studio on the series and bring the world of Cyberpunk to life with their signature, vibrant style. Hiroyuki Imaishi (Gurren Lagann, Kill la Kill, Promare) will direct the series along with creative director Hiromi Wakabayashi (Kill la Kill), character designer and animation director Yoh Yoshinari (Little Witch Academia, BNA: Brand New Animal), and the adapted screenplay by Yoshiki Usa (GRIDMAN UNIVERSE series, Promare) and Masahiko Otsuka (Star Wars: Visions 'The Elder'). I did not expect to go into Edgerunners and have them:
1) Turn my favorite song from the game into a song I can barely listen to without crying
2) Make me legitimately cry multiple times
3) Make me want to play through Cyberpunk2077 for the 3rd time just to blow Adam Smasher's fucking brains over the pavement.

The mark of a good story when you actually feel true emotion over people who really don't exist. Wish the story had a happier ending but night city man

Friendly Reminder: Cyberpsychosis doesn't go away with Inmunosupressants. They just eliminate the effects but they always come back worse. David's got to a point where he had to be given supressants every 10 or so seconds to stop him from going full psycho. Yet Lucy was able to bring him back with A KISS. That's how much he loved her.

The part of the show that broke me was during the car ride to Arasaka Tower. He was being pumped full of drugs teetering on the edge of sanity and seeing Rebeccas as his mom, talking to her, promising her he will make it to the top. That shit broke me. Man tears were shed.

Nobody really expected so much from this anime . The concentration of emotion they got in only ten episodes is absurd, i will never forget about this. Every time i play and this song starts in the car's radio it's a stab in the heart.
