Love that he referred to his own office as “Mark Dantonio’s” lol. Showing respect!

Big Michigan fan here but glad to see Coach Smith at MSU - seems like a person of character and humility.

As a 45 year old die hard Michigan wolverine fan who is surrounded by Spartans. Even have 2 niece and nephew in attendance. I can say I'm happy to see my rivals new leader is this gentleman. Sparty appears to be in great hands. I just pray that the toxicity the rival has become returns to good nature fun. Like basketball is with Jon Borovich being added to coach Tom izzos bench staff

Hopefully Coach Smith has enough intestinal fortitude to cut bait on his friends/coaches when they fail to produce at a B1G level. Both Tucker and even Dtone failed in this regard. Dtone in his later years and Tucker after the 2022 season; worst pass defense in the country should have seen both Barnett and Hazelton in the unemployment line. Go Green.

Izzo just needs to worry about winning on the hard wood. Its not been getting any better the last several seasons.

History will show they should have hired Tulane’s head coach. Now watch Houston do so much better than Michigan State even though Michigan State is the better job.

I truly don’t see him being successful. He’s a west coast guy, already struggling heavily in recruiting. Especially with the big ten being so loaded now
