I always appreciate a good relationship with my parents, it's important to show them love and respect. It's sad to see people mistreat their own parents, they deserve better.

There's obviously a difference between disagreeing with your mom and just flat out disrespecting her. Nobody's perfect but if you can at least manage to show her that you appreciate her and are grateful for what she's done for you and at least try to get along whether or not you see eye to eye that's enough. Sometimes parents are raised in a way that makes them toxic and then they pass it along. If you can manage to at least break the chain and try to be better for each other then there's hope.
