Don't have HIV, but I'm relieved to know that if I ever were unfortunate to get the virus, I have one of the best HLA alleles for HIV (HLA B27). Apparently according to the literature, HLA B27 and HLA B57 target conservative proteins of the virus, that don't mutate as often. So I would likely be a long term non progressor to AIDS and maybe not even need anti-retroviral treatment.
