Spraying brake fluid on the rotor from a broken brake hose will quiet them until the fire starts.

Never ever, ever just drop or even let the caliper hang from the brake line! Mechanic wire or even a brake caliper hanger will prevent ruining the brake line. And sandpaper is a much better way to remove glazing from brake pads.

you can deglaze your brakes by getting on them hard from a high speed. Heat them up. you dont need to take everything apart to do that.

It's important to use silicon grease at contact points(caliper pins, where pads contact the slides) especially between the pad and shim. You don't always want to machine the rotors.(as long as surface is not glazed/gouged or any pulsating due to run out) to preserve rotor thickness. A lot of the time the noise will be the result of the pad contacting the "rust line on the rotor". Sanding the pad probably eliminated the noise temporarily.

I legit jumped when he started scraping those perfect pads on the concrete

after draining your oil for a oil change don’t forget to use lock tight and a impact when putting your drain bolt on as they often fall off

Zero lubrication anywhere.
Apply thing coat to all touching points where pads sit in bracket then add thin coat of brake lube grease to the outer backs where they touch the caliper.
Also if you s uff up rotors take pads out and lay on some 36-50 grit sand paper on flat surface and scuff the shine off the face then break them back in using normal braking .
Don't do the jam the brakes hard to put some heat jn them as some people claim. Basically current pad tech, unless marked on boxes, are ceramic based.

You need to add more wait to the caliper so it drops harder !

All you need is some brake grease on those pads

Resurface is the rotor surface too isn’t it?? Yikes to the caliper drop.

How to fix brake squeak? 1) not to brake. 2) change your driving behavior. 3) destory vehicle braking component vibration.
