Took the Maiden Voyage of the Celebrity edge in 2018, the week before Christmas. First ones to sleep in our stateroom. Ship was designed and built in France with nothing held back, in terms of luxury( no we don't mean the doorknobs were gold and the shower handles were silver) meaning the finest towels, sheets, amenities, etc. We were upgraded with a veranda, which we used every night, after we came back from the dining and entertainment. The Seas were calm, you could barely feel the movement or hear anything but the musical splash of water, which was more quiet than my voice. If you looked out on the horizon, with just the moonlight, you could every so often see a ship's lights miles and miles away, passing in the other direction as a small light.
The Staff on the ship couldn't be more friendly and helpful, from the top to bottom, everyone was like a friend, you hadn't met yet. If you asked them a question, or direction( it takes a day or two, to navigate where everything is, direction and level wise) they didn't just tell you, they took you there and explained how to get there on your own.
The food, in short, fine to finest. Breakfast and lunch, you could eat for 10 days and never eat the same dish twice. The choice of restaurants, exquisite. Your choice, with no extra cost for which you picked, up to 5 nights.
Another perk, a credit of $200 or $300 to spend any way you wanted.( a Coach bag for my significant other and a key fob for me).
As far as the age, I would say 40's, 50's, 60's for the majority of the passengers. Still keep in touch and see two couples. Night clubs, Piano bar, all different, and fun, but if you just want to gamble a little, the casino fit's the bill, plus they televise the Sports (depending on the time of year you cruise).
We made three stops for sightseeing, shopping, or just relaxing on a beach.
Considering the number of passengers, things went very smooth, quick, and I waiting longer on line to see a movie, than to get settled in our stateroom and when leaving the ship, to get all our luggage( it was unbelievable, how quick they were).
Last, the price couldn't be any better, by any Cruise Ship out there. Just check the offers and book it, because promotions are offered at different times of the year. However, it's up to you to board the ship with a POSITIVE attitude, take advantage of all that's OFFERED, expect a little HICCUP every once in a while since there are 1, 000's of passengers, and TREAT people the way you want to be treated. Example, after two days, the breakfast Chef knew me and made my Strawberry Crepes as soon as he saw me coming!
Bottom line, Celebrity Cruises are the way to go.

Having travelled on the Solstice, my wife and I are familiar with a number of things on board. It's very upmarket, as one would expect from such a ship. Not sure I like the exterior colour scheme. Doubt if it will come to Australia, so won't worry too much. Lovely cruise line.

Great ship if you're over 80! Beautiful vessel, but RC/Celebrity is catering to the old well to do crowd with this one.

Cruise Passion, your video is much better than the ship. It's a relatively popular genre: a passenger is making a promo video. Great job actually. However the ship is lacking important amenities, features narrow cabins, class segregation, wow gimmicks. Thanks for the video!

This ship doesn't look like a floating holiday camp. Maybe it could compete with Silversea. Very nice ship. Sorry but the music is MIDI very downmarket.
