Chocolate Sea Salt Sourdough Cookies
Chilled overnight & baked to perfection. This soft rich chocolate cookie is topped with chocolate shavings & thick sea salt. So so good!
Recipe⬇️
113g softened butter
108g dark brown sugar
108g sugar
270g sourdough discard
1 egg
8g vanilla
60g cocoa powder
5g baking soda
3g fine grain sea salt
135g flour
155g roughly chopped chocolate- dark or semisweet
Extra finely chopped chocolate & course grain sea salt for topping

In a large bowl with an electric mixer, beat together the butter & sugars until fluffy about 3-5 minutes. Mix in the discard, egg & vanilla. Then the cocoa powder, salt, baking soda & flour until just combined. Stir in the chopped chocolate with a spatula.
Refrigerate the dough for 12-24 hours before baking. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Top the warm cookies with the finely chopped chocolate & course sea salt. Finish cooling on a cooling rack.
