to think about it, they could make the rdj doom based upon that one comic where victor swaps bodies between him and stark when they were college buddies and in that version we get a tony stark doctor doom and a victor iron man

I think all of these iron man fan boys are just making excuses to cope with the fact that iron man is dead and that’s RDJ is coming back to play a different character as such victor Von Doom These theories are nothing but away for them to deny the fact that Tony Stark is dead I know it’s the Multiverse and stuff but just because one actor plays different characters does not mean they are the same character look at Thanos and cable they are both played by Josh Brolin, but is cable Thanos from a different universe? Now that kang is out of the equation or...him being main villain of Avengers 5 maybe means we could see rdj taking upon the role of playing different characters from dr doom to superior iron man but that's a little tricky since Marvel really wants Tom cruise in that role then a good iron man variant who didn't died or snaped his fingers

something that didn't get brought up in this video is the "demon in an armor" story where Victor and Tony are college roommates and swap bodies and Victor in Tonys body becomes an evil Iron Man and Tony in Victors body becomes a good guy Dr Doom

What I’m hoping is that there will be something like the original kang story. 3 main dooms and a bunch of others (maybe enhanced doombots) 1 Doom from the MCU, 1 from Deadpool’s Universe, and 1 from this new fantastic 4 universe. That way RDJ can play Dr Doom and have more ways for Dr Doom to be shown as a villain with maybe 1 of them actually being a Tony stark who maybe lost everything he cared about and went down a different path afterwards. And then we can have the doom we want and the doom that has been casted. Maybe RDJ can have a redemption ark behind seeing another version of whatever lose happened to him.

i like to think that in 616, theres gonna be some weird event that deals with stark technology. People are gonna think it got leaked or something like iron man 2 on a larger scale.

then they find the culprit, and it's doom. Spider man or whoever is gonna be like"mr stark? i thought you were dead" with a subtle pause, showing an "emotional come back"

then doom just smacks spider or says "i dont know you kid"

That could make sense if we have a proper Dr Doom and that this is a alternative version of Tony Stark known as Iron Maniac

I have a theory of my own, I think Marvel is showing RDJ playing Dr.Doom just to cover up the casting of RDJ. Actually RDJ is gonna play Iron Man but Marvel doesn't want this to get out via any leak so they already told everyone that RDJ is in our cast but not as Iron Man but maybe he is. Marvel is just hiding this from the audience so that it doesn't get spoilt and they wanna keep it a surprise. Imagine if this casting of RDJ as Dr.Doom was not announced and if anyone leaked RDJ working with Marvel then everyone would already know that Iron Man is coming back but with this announcement they got RDJ with them without the fear of any leaks ruining the surprise and they still have that surprise with them. Marvel is too good in keeping secrets and giving surprises.
I know this is nothing close to reality but my heart would love it if it would be the truth. Its been so many years but i still can't get over the fact that our Iron Man is dead😢

I HATE this announcement, not because it's a PR stunt, but because it's disrespectful to the character of rdj's iron man. Not only did they already ruin the character by killing him off, but now they're disrespecting him even more by casting the actor who once played him as a totally different character. And if you're right and this is a different version of tony stark that becomes dr doom, then that would just be super weird because it doesn't make any sense. Maybe it's because I don't read comics, so I'm not used to all the weird stories they tell in the comics, but it just doesn't make any sense. Marvel, if you're gonna replace kang with another villain, at least cast someone who hasn't already played a character in the mcu.
