Here's a tip- instead of using wood planks as fuel, convert them to wodden slabs. They do as much smelting as wooden planks but you get to use more of them.

you had bonemeal and there were grass blocks under the tree. You could have used the bone meal on the grass to get seeds to start a farm.

Some tips:
Spiders need a 3x3 area to spawn. you just need slabs spaced 2 apart
Witches can splash villagers with weakness if you are close, you don't need to make the potion

Tip: one bit of armor with blast protection is the same as all the armor with blast protection, so you might as well just enchant leggings or something.

There IS another way to get sugar. You can convert a bottle of honey into sugar. All you would need to do is get some bees by growing oak trees next to flowers.

spawners have a radius on how far you can be before the spawner doesn't work (im pretty sure that its 12-16 blocks) and your witch farm thing is not making the spawner stop working, ur just too far from the spawner. mobs also spawn more the lower you are in the world so you would get alot of mobs at like y=-54 but you wont get alot at like y=60. Here's a little tip for you, if you didn't knew it: If you place a sapling on a dirtblock, place another block one block (no matter the direction) diagonal above the sapling. I'll try to show you. "b" is for block, "s" for sapling and "d" for dirt:

If you do that, the tree will 100% grow into a large tree :)

Here's a tip for converting Villagers; witches may drop sugar, but they also can just throw weakness potions, so don't kill them. The condition for them throwing is being close up in their face, around 3-2 blocks away.

witches will sometimes throw potions of weakness. thus bypassing the need for sugar, just save him in a boat and u can cure a zomber that way
