Welcome to the Italian Riviera! Also known as Liguria or the Ligurian Coast, this region of Italy stretches from France in the west to Tuscany in the east along the Mediterranean coast and is known for its idyllic fishing villages like Camogli, romantic resort towns like Portofino, and of course, delicious foods like pesto and focaccia – since they were created here! We had the pleasure of spending one full day exploring the beautiful coastline by bus, boat, and foot, and while one day is barely enough time to even scratch the surface of this incredible region, it was enough to let us know that we HAVE to come back!

We’re Matt & Nat, a part-time, non-remote travel couple based out of Nashville, TN.

We launched in 2021 by visiting all 50 US states & documented our entire journey on our Blog & here on YouTube! After spending a full year focused on such a defined goal, 2022 left us feeling a little lost & wondering "What's next?". We continued traveling & creating vlogs but always with the "What's next?" question lingering. During one of our trips, we came across the book “1,000 Places to See Before You Die” & were immediately drawn in by it & knew that it had to be a part of our adventures. So, in January 2023 we officially launched our “1,000 Places To See Before You Die” series where we’ve set out to see as many of the “1,000 Places To See Before You Die”… before we die!

We hope you’ll join us on the adventure & find some adventures of your own along the way! And remember... It’s better to see something once (even if only for a moment) than to hear about it a thousand times.

That part of Italy is Beautiful. We lived in Sicily for 10 months through my husbands job with the military. There wasn’t Anything there that beautiful !!

Love this so much! My grandparents are from Genoa and I was able to go visit my roots a few years ago. It was amazing! And I guess the pronunciation is kinda to each their own. I know it is spelled Genova but my family says Genoa LOL. The absolute best part of our trip was finding food in the trattorias that very much resembled our family recipes that you don’t find in regular Italian restaurants here in the states! Thank you for bringing me back there for a short time! 🧡😁
