By my experience in Warmane's progressive realm (Frostmourne) i can tell the best combo in terms of utility (not economy) is:
- Mining + Jewelcrafting; farm as much as you want/can.
- Then remove mining and learn engineering instead.
The whole purpose of mining in this case is getting JC and Engineering 450 for free and getting some extra golds.
You can keep it (mining) if you want to make some gold, but you won't find many titanium/saronite ores nowadays (bots and farmers).

On the other hand, enchanting + tailoring / herb + alchemy are good choices too but i like more the above.

Is specialization still a thing in wotlk, like Leatherworking specialization? and if so how important are they?

I'm just thinking about what the best jobs are for my hunter in wotlk. I currently think that engineering and juwe are probably the best. since i hopefully want to continue playing beastmaster for as long as possible, ingi's haste and the increased stats with juwe are not wrong, but the survival and marksmen will become strong later, i wonder if he doesn't have a better professional combination with regard to the mid/late game content for min max pve content?

engi jc is bis for most classes, jc is bis for everyone, and engi is really good in a lot of classes and its always super useful, in terms of gold best profs until toc is herbalism inscription, inscription can make a trinket thats BIS for every melee until toc and even in toc its just not bis if you have trinket from 25 normal and 25 hc, which is fucking rare because guilds tend to distribute them obviously. after that, jc is my personal favorite to make gold, enchanting is also good

My main 3 characters are going to be Engineer/JC, Engineer/scribe and Engineer/LW. Will have an alt with BS/enchant, druid with herb/mining and 4-6 alts with Alch/tailoring. 4 for sure since i have 2 now and will use 70 boosts on 2 other characters and the last 2 would be DKs if i actually lvl them or not lol
