This was the first scene I ever saw of the series back in October of '84. I didn't even realize it was a TV show. I was watching someone else's TV and saw this playing and thought it was a film. It didn't feel like "formula" TV cop shows of thne 1980s (like Hunter). This had texture. It had mood. I was sold. Miami vice was in the process of redefining television fare.

I remember an interview Don Johnson did, and he was asked if there were any scenes he hated doing. He said it was this sequence, the waves beat them up pretty good and they got seasick as well. But the director got the shots they needed for the show.

This show was well directed, produced and the actors were excellent! I miss this. I can't even watch TV today. Thanks for bringing back some great TV memories!!!

Nowadays drones images doesn't impressed young people, as these over a board... But in 80's it was by an helicopter and we said wow!!!

I think this is the best scene of miami vice ever; voices on the background and crockett and tubbs going to bahamas with the scarab, amazing really, this scene is fantastic; I never get tired to watch this video again and again
