This was not just a series finale, but it marked the end of an era as well. The 80s had just ended and a new decade beginning in 1990 had just began.

One of the greatest series I’ve ever seen. My mother and I used to watch every episode on Friday nights at 9. R.I.P. mom.

The 80’s is not just a decade but a style, an attitude and a feeling. And that’s why it lives on

Is there something wrong with me? This show is 30+ years old, and I still think this is one of the best shows ever.. even watching it now! The music, palm trees, actor and musician cameos, cars, drugs, boats, women, the back the miami skyline...all of it!

That "I'm gonna miss ya man" felt so sincere. Like he was really saying he was going to miss working together in real life. Well acted/portrayed. Great ending to a great show.

When you watched this show back in the 80's, I was not like you were watching a TV show, it was like you were watching a movie. Like a summer blockbuster. Miami Vice could have easily made millions at the box office.

"we had one hell of a run, didn't we partner", understatement of the decade

Was an Air Force pilot flying C-9's at Rhein-Main AB Germany from '89-'91. This was the one of the only good shows we could watch on AFN (Armed Forces Network) TV at the time. Me and my buds and their wives watched this finale together and realized an era was over. Remember those times as if they we yesterday. What I would give to go back in time...

I remember watching this with my mom. She thought there might be a car bomb or something. It was sad to see the show end. For the 1st 3 years we never missed an episode. Loved the show! Some of my warmest memories are of watching Miami Vice with mom. Miss them both. ❤️

Nothing will ever compare to the 80's. I'm grateful that I got to live it and experience it fully. What I would give to just spend some time there again.

To me, Edward James Olmos was a key to this series. He was an icon of class. 🙏🏽

The cars, the clothes, the music. One of the greatest TV shows. Ever.

My older brother loved this show so much that he cried at the end of this episode when I watched it with him. Made me promise not to tell any of his friends. I sure miss him.

I watched every episode, every Friday night, without missing one.

There'll never be another Miami Vice. And the "In The Air Tonight" chase scene is still the best on TV ever.

The very final seen when Crockett walks out of his boat and looks over everything the scenery, and then Tubbs pulls up. And Sonny says I’m gonna miss you man. Gets to me. I had a best friend like that and now I haven’t seen him in 20 years since he moved. We still talk on the phone but it’s not the same. We can’t hang out or nothing. It stinks. I grew up in the 80’s and they were the very last time to grow up and be young. God I miss the 80’s I guess I could say I miss my youth

Miami Vice defined the... No, it WAS the 80's!! I graduated high school in 82, I lived for every moment this show was on. Crockett and Tubbs, they started together and the finished together...As it should be. The fashion trends that show started was something else on it's own...And the music used throughout the series was awesome, Tina Turner, Glenn Frey, Phil Collins...In The Air Tonight takes me back to Miami Vice every time I hear it...God, I miss that show, I didn't want it to end!! Hollywood today doesn't know how to make good TV shows anymore.
