Happy Valentine’s Day ❤️

And as music is the food of love, we give you the ENTIRE fourth movement of Mahler’s Fifth Symphony, the Adagietto🌹 Did you know the Adagietto was written as a love song to Mahler’s wife, Alma?

The perfect valentine’s gift for sure 🥰

SO very heartbreakingly beautiful…The moment it starts, until the end my eyes are filled with tears and I have goosebumps all over me…The classical composers were the Masters for all time…

The ending. It's always the end of the adagietto that gets me.

The first time I heard it I had to think about this person that I fell in love with and for some strange reason it reminded me of him and then I looked at the meaning of the song and it was to his wife and he loved very much it was very interesting love is palpable in this song

Min 1:04 5 Sinfonía de Gustav Mahler, 4to movimiento, Adagietto. Sehr langsam. Una de las piezas más hermosas escritas.

Normally, I only listen to Abbado’s Mahler, but this one is very good too! It’s clear how most film composer later borrowed elements from this outstanding movement

Mahler was simply a genius and one of my declared favourite composers. And you play this touching piece so beautifully - it brings tears to my eyes.
