Nelly Furtado's "Loose" album was definitely that once-in-a-career work of mastery. Many of us loved Nelly's previous song "I'm Like a Bird, " but while we wouldn't go so far as to suggest she was a one-hit-wonder, it seemed clear she wasn't a successor waiting for full-on pop stardom. To overstate the obvious, we were so wrong....and least for a hot minute. But where some might assume in the years since then she's tried and failed to re-capture that magic, it's more likely she realized that pop stardom wasn't for her and moved back to a place she was comfortable without the insane expectations and pressure to top herself. But how lucky we were to have such a pristine album of songs from her at all.

Sober is one of Kelly's best songs (especially live) and Who Knew is a masterpiece of songwriting. Also, LOVE that Please by Toni Braxton is mentioned! That song (and the WHOLE Libra album) is so damn good!! Criminally underrated!

I live in Europe amd know&love most of these. But I know that Little Mix struggled with the US, such a shame… songs like Strip, Little Me(normal and unplugged), Good Enough.. they have so many.
And Hailee’s songs are gold. I love pretty much every song that is hers but gems like Afterlife&Wrong Direction definitely deserved more.
