Thanks for this. I struggle with the dubbing coming loose as I wrap. Here, though, it looks as though the dubbing starts to come loose a bit just as you reach your end point, which actually seems to give you a nice taper. Am I right?

I enjoy using badger hen hackle, applied thick or thin at the collar. Try it on your hair's ears (or your own ear) behind the bead. Works well. The fish say it looks like a fine snack wearing a dress. I'm OK with that.

Is there a specific purpose for the "furnace" colored hackle? Or could you use the rest of the purple Saddle Hackle you used for the tail? I was just curious to the color change.
