This Fly Is Proven to Produce Fish! - Egan's Rainbow Warrior Perdigon - Fly Tying Tutorial

In this fly tying tutorial, Lance Egan demonstrates how to tie the Rainbow Warrior Perdigon. The original Rainbow Warrior has been a staple fly in our boxes for many years. The Rainbow Warrior Perdigon is a dense, durable, pattern using the effective colors of the original Rainbow Warrior.

This fly is very effective on a nymph rig, indicator or euro, and as a dropper below a dry.
A bit of red, some flash to get attention, and a quick sinking fly = a proven producer.

Fishing these in some fast water in Austria and the fish love 'em. That last comment re: Cheech's flies was hilarious!!

You think you could interchange the silver bead for a nickel one?

Interesting, with this Perdigon is there a reason why you chose not to put the black spot on the top Lance? I have seen others tied without it, and am more wondering if there is a reason why some are and some aren't -- personal preference?

Is there any reason for not including the wire rib from the original rainbow warrior on the perdigon version for some segmentation?

Never expected to see these tied into 20 or 22.
