As an autistic adult phew I commend you so much it makes me so happy to see parents being able to go “my kid experiences the world in a different way and I’m going to help give them the tools to interact with it in a way that doesn’t overwhelm them” rather than trying to get an autistic kid to “deal with it” bc obvi we all do have to learn to deal with the difficulties of the world but a parent giving the tools truly makes all the difference at how well equipped we are to cope with the real world
