I use 1/2 inch on 0 gauge and it works better than 3/4 because 3/4 you can see through it half inch you can't see the wire underneath that is good because it's tighter the looser the more see through it makes it.... GREAT DESCRIPTION EXPLANATION AS USUAL ONE OF THE BEST ON YOUTUBE THANK YOU DEAN!!

This honestly just played after something else I watched, but it was super informative. Now I have knowledge that I might not ever use, but was a joy to receive lol!

Good job explaining a dry topic. I used 1/4 for a fuel pump harness and was cursed for not having some 3/8. Would have been so much better. Like you mentioned the wires were tight and not happy. Ended up replacing that section.

Another tip, the a long length of spider where the heat shrink does not act as strain relief for the connector (going over it) do not use a lot of heat shrink . If you cut heat shrink into multiple short segments you get more flex in the loom

I wish retailers could put together and sell kits of these items that might be needed for just a one-vehicle install, e.g., just enough braided loom and heat shrink tubing for an amp, a harness, speaker/sub wires, etc. I'm a DIY guy who might install something once every few years. I feel like if I wanted to use these items, I would have to buy way more product than I need. If there was such a thing as a one-vehicle kit with the most commonly used items, I would buy just such a kit.

This is awesome, always wanted to know all the little things that you guys use in an install. I think it would be valuable information to find out where you guys ground each system to, as not every car is the same... As boring as a ground wire sounds, it's one of the most important pieces to an install, so any information on how you guys install the ground wire would be beneficial. Thank you.
