I recently read an interesting UK report on Chinese control of private firms. While part of the report tries to diminish US ( and President Trump's) concerns, there is also a grim observation. Almost at the end, it says. " Chinese domestic laws and administrative guidelines, as well as cloaked regulations and internal party committees, make it quite difficult to distinguish between what Is private and what is state-owned."
