The part I like about Dionysus is that while it’s easy for some philosophers to label him as someone who doesn’t like authority or follow the rules (looking at you, Nietzsche), the truth is he represents theater, fertility (especially of grapes), and religious ecstasy, and is known by some of his cults to specialize in teaching the art of growing and caring for plants that give pleasurable food and drink in the first place. Despite his laid-back lifestyle, he still has some responsibility in him and would still probably get along well with more-serious gods like Apollo, Athena, etc. He apparently works closely with them, after all.

He’s like that one coworker at your job who always finds some stupid way to liven up the workplace and boost morale when he’s on the clock. When he’s off the clock, don’t bother calling him because he’s probably drunk.
