As someone who was a lawyer on many servers on FiveM, I don't care if they shut down RP servers. Many times from several admins and head admins I witnessed favoritism and abuse of power on people yhat not only made my job difficult and frustrating but just angry in general. Admins don't answer to anyone but themselves and there's no sense of professionalism so if rp servers went away I wouldn't care. However, if R* takes control and replaces garbage admins then I'd be for that.

I can see Rockstar using this poor group of talented game designers to just churn out outlaw passes and crippled versions of the "roles" from the RP servers in order to run on all versions of the game. So Rockstar will be able to charge 35 gold bars so you can unlock the "policeman" role or "heist" role. And any of the other roles they have essentially made fleshed-out versions for on the dedicated RP servers. So... it'll be bad for hardcore RPers but good for the general public and of course for R* wallets.

Why are people acting like this is a good thing? Have they not been paying attention for the last 5 years? R* is going to figure out how they can make the most money from the least amount of work when it comes to these private servers. Wait until the rules start getting put on them as well.

If they make RP pay to win like GTA Online that just defeats the purpose of RP and all the fun players can make for themselves. I have a feeling that the RP servers are gonna get ruined now that the greediest company on earth owns them.

What would be cool is if they allowed us to use in-game money and convert it to real life money, but that would need a heavy anti-cheat system.

I think it's people who play on console the ones who do want to roleplay servers and cannot do so what is the real problem as people want to scream equality
