This is not unusual. Many die within a matter of months. If suddenly death happens, the loss is so great that frequently the surviving spouse will have a heart attack when told the news, or just after the funeral. One simply can not go on without the other. It's called love and devotion, and occurs in the longest of marriages that are filled with love. It is grievous to see a surviving spouse when so much devotion has survived many, many years of marriage. It is almost unbearable for the children to lose both parents at the same time. But remind them of the love between them and be glad that they are together. Try to remember the love and joy they shared.
