Learn the basics of the Chevy Equinox

The Chevrolet Equinox got an upgrade for 2022 with some small tweaks for the 2023 model year, including some new packaged options and a slightly reworked 1.5L turbocharged engine that boasts 5 extra horsepower year over year. This was my first time in an Equinox and after having the chance to live with it for a week, have to say that I was really surprised.

It's a fun drive, comfortable, handles well on the highway and is loaded with technology. I had the available RS trim level which was decked out with pretty much every option you can find, including the slick RS Leather Package that features unique seats and upgraded sound system.

In this video you're going to learn the basis of the Equinox where I cover off interior and exterior style, available drivetrains, technology across the different trim levels and more!

Huge thanks to GM / Chevrolet Canada for letting me use this vehicle for the week to shoot this video. Check out the build links to the Canada and USA sites down below!

What nobody seems to mention is that this vehicle has the most uncannily smooth ride. So much so that nobody notices that it doesn’t hit bumps at all even though it has a mechanical suspension. It absorbs train tracks and you don’t even hear them. I hope that the electric model rides as nicely because it will be completely silent when it has no engine noise.

That is an exceptionally good looking vehicle. It kind of surprised me as I hadn't really seen much of the newer GMs in a while. Looks like some effort is being put into bringing up their interiors again.

I have a ‘23 LS with the midnight pkg in blue glo. Other than the lack of punch in the 1.5…I have absolutely no issues. Excellent vehicle for my needs. Nice review!

Thank you for sharing. It’s a decent vehicle. It’s GM’s best seller after the Silverado.

I was interested in the alert for backing up. I had the Premier that vibrated the seat for warning. Try driving this car at night and see how the lights automatically adjust to bright and back down to normal. Just bought a RS.
