A BRUTALLY HONEST review of MSC Seascape 👀😣

Taking a cruise on the new MSC Seascape was one of the WORST travel experiences I’ve had in a long time. In this video we share an honest review of our cruise experience and answer the top questions people ask about MSC Seascape.

Something to consider:
I recently went on a (very old) cruise that was $25/night?! There were only 117 people on this 1,680 passenger ship. We still had a GREAT TIME. You can see that video below - it’s easy for us to have fun, but we genuinely DID NOT like our experience on MSC Seascape and wanted to share what we were disappointed by.

Why? Because if WE saw a video like this, we would have AVOIDED a bad experience. If you have a helpful tip, add it in the comments below, your opinion matters and can help other travelers to make the right decision for them.

Then why did I book this cruise?
It was the date. Literally. I travel nearly 300 days a year and the majority of that travel is WITHOUT Meatball. There was a one week window sandwiched between many months of travel and not seeing each other and I literally looked up any cruise (out of Florida, because it’s easy for us and because we don’t have to plan anything), booked it and didn’t thunk twice about it. Given this, the trip really DID serve its purpose. I got to spend quality time with Meatball reconnecting and mostly taking naps between playing pickleball and drinking champagne.

Our sailing:
7 nights in July 2023 going to Nassau, Ocean Cay, Puerto Rico, Puerto Plata. I paid $3,122 (for the cruise, deluxe balcony room) and later in total.. much more for the upgraded drink package, some additional upgraded drinks (not included in the drink package) and the required $14 per person per night for gratuities. It didn’t include parking at the port nor the additional gratuities we gave out.

I can absolutely, wholeheartedly agree with you guys saying the people on the boat are rude. Not the staff, I mean the actual “guests”. I just returned yesterday from MSC Seascape east Caribbean cruise and wow, I probably won’t return only because of the type of people that go on these. A lot of different people were on the boat and I think their way of thinking and behaving is different from the US. No manners, shoving, skipping in lines, skipping to get on the elevators, no excuse me, etc. If you go on this cruise, just keep this in mind, you’ll need a bit more patience. Crew was top notch though! Shout out to Ted the cruise director for doing a wonderful job.

Just finished my cruise 2 days ago. Agree with everything you said….especially about the layout of the ship. Very tricky to find things. The buffet layout is terrible! By the time you get everything you need your food is cold. I am actually noticing through your video that we missed a lot of things. With that being said the MSC private island was amazing….my highlight. Crew was great.

Thanks for this! I have 2 kids (age 6 and 3) and my husband and I usually trying to find things to do where we can relax and our kids can just be kids. I may consider this cruise.

Been on the Seascape twice in the last year. MSC had no control over how guests act. Yes, there are rude people, but nowhere can you go that you don't have to deal with rude people. We had a fabulous time because we didn't expect to be treated like royalty and have our bums kissed. It's a cruise ship, not a personal yacht. The food, staff and trip were great. If you want to be treated like royalty, then rent a yacht, not go on a cruise ship!

I give our 1 week cruise for 4 on Seascape an A-. (I don't give A's). We had a great time, enjoyed most of the food, all of the staff, and a majority of the fellow travelers.

Why parents keep their children up after 7/9 pm is a shock. Children GROW when they're ASLEEP.
They WILL stunt their growth.
I've not just seen on cruises, but on land too - all over the World.

Thank you so much. You save me money. I was thinking on taking this cruise and you just opened my eyes, definitely a nope with so many kids around. I don’t mind kids, but they have their place and time, the club, bars and comedy shows are not their place. MSC is now out of my cruise choices.

Going on this ship on theOctober 22 sailing. From what I’ve heard on other videos, you can eat at the dining room for breakfast and lunch but it’s a sit down experience. Do you know if that is the case?
