Do you really need haste 2 for this to work? (I'm in kinda early game, getting a beacon would be a lot of work)

is there a way to stop my game from freezing when activating the machine? i can do update skipping stuff fine but since this requires placing and breaking blocks while the trapdoor is flipping i cant do it because my game freezes complete the entire time

Yeah but you used flexible block placement to get the piston to face down. Is this method also viable by using a trapdoor to get into crawl mode to place the piston?

When you go to place the 2nd piston, how do you get it to face down? I can only get it to face up. What do I need to aim for?

I can't make it works, when I put the redstone dost in top of the trapdoor is auto started and braked the dust.
