Fluval Flex 1 Month Update - Still The Best All-In-One Aquarium Kit?

It has now been over 7 week since setting up my brand new Fluval Flex 57L Kit Aquarium.

I removed the baffle plate at the back and placed an internal filter in a corner. Also replaced the lid/light with something stronger and it's a lovely nano tank now with more space.

This was my first tank in 15 years -- gotta say I'm absolutely loving it...something about the dimensions, the bow-front is so nice in person....no idea how to photograph the thing, and it needs some mods but a glorious tank!

Edit: ditto re; algae, I haven't had a single, single spot in 6 months! White silicone denying silica to our friends, the algae?

I've been looking at buying a good starter tank for a while (since i havent kept fish in 12 years) Now, after watching your videos im convinced! Setting up one of these is gonna be my winter project 👍🏻😄

Just watched this video here in the UK, So grateful for the heads up as I am seriously considering adding one of these to my collection. I was a bit nervous about going low tech as I usually use CO2 but looking at what you've done it's great. I love the design of the flex, thanks for sharing.

You'll probably have to get those plecos out of there soon. They grow to be huge. I just purchased that same aquarium last week but I haven, t set it up yet. I'm looking forward to it.

Good tank, but that honeycomb screen thing is inadequate. I can still see the waterline and I hate that. I will use some sort of black tape to hide it.

the hillstream loaches will keep that glass clean for you you won’t even need that magnet

I bought a new one after the cracked secondhand tank fiasco... the new one's pump is sooo loud! i have tried foam underneath the pump, Foam all around the pump. sound deafening tyhe lid... its just so so so loud. im losing the will with it. probably going to replace the pump with a low flow cheapo or eheim pump... didnt want to splash extra cash .... wish that it wasnt this bad after 10 years on the market

i used to hate the look of these, but they have grown on me, alot better then the edge. didnt you just add co2 to this tank to?
