Pimping My Fluval Flex 123 litres With A Oase BioMaster 600 (1 Month Update)
Показать описание
After running my 2nd hand Oase Biomaster 600 in my Fluval Flex 123 litre tank for about a month, I took it out for a cleaning.
The pre-filter was so filthy it took me 4 buckets of aquarium water to rinse the muck off. The filtration trays were relatively clean, hence moving forward, I need only remove the pre-filter section for cleaning and, at the most, rinse the main filtration trays once a year.
The filter is relatively quiet, similar to the noise level of an air pump. No issues if the tank is in your living room. Even better if you have an aquarium cabinet to hide the canister filter in. This video may make it sound louder than it really is as my microphone is very sensitive in picking up noise.
The filter produces water 'trickling' and 'pew pew whooshing' sounds. I realised the trickling sound goes away after the pre-filter has been cleaned.
The 'pew pew whooshing' noises happens occasionally. I read that the sound is heard when the filter discharges built up air in the filters. I personally find the noise amusing as opposed to annoying.

Shout out to Jonathan Tok, finally done the video!
