RIP Sue we all know you lived long and strong

In my opinion.... T.Rex should live for more than 30 years. If lucky, the king of the dinosaurs might possibly lived to be 50 at the best estimate.

We'll have a new video from #TeamSpace out tomorrow - turn on notifications to get an alert when the premiere page goes up! It shares a theme with this video... can you guess what the topic might be?

I think a t rex only lived to 30 because of slight weakness from age, I'd imagine a t rex though without others of its kind to compete with would of lived far longer if it had plentiful of access to food easily. Probably 70 like eagles in captivity.

The connection between lifespan and size is an interesting one, although, clearly this whole thing with the lifespans of different animals is much more complicated, not always following the simple rule "the larger the animal the longer its lifespan" - for example, how can it be that the smaller bowhead whale can have a much longer life than the blue whale which is bigger? Also, the Nile crocodile has a much longer lifespan than T. rex had, even though the latter is or was much bigger... And how can we be so sure that T. rex had a maximum lifespan of only around 30 years or (maybe a bit more)? Are there any serious considerations about the possibility that its lifespan may have been even much longer?

I visited T .rex: The Ultimate Predator before, it included so much information on T.rex and it's relatives.

Thanks for the interesting short presentation. Your explanation of gauging age by counting bone growth rings begs the question of how we know the time required for each ring to form. Trees have an annual growth cycle, but perhaps for an animal the answer is less obvious.

I had no idea the biggest dinosaurs like T.rex or Patagotitan can live longer than Velociraptor.

It's not about how long it's about HOW T-REX LIVED! Most probably in pairs

the presence of filaments and dimples in the mouth of the t.rex served to nourish what I did not want lips ... could clarify that doubt if the t.rex had lips or not?
