So Freya knew how to cure him the all time and actively choose not to help especially when he was losing his mind and suffering from the curse. Even when he begged her to set him free. One of the best depiction of a selfish love and the effects it has on those it is aimed at.

Fun fact: In Norse mythology Baldr is actually one of the nicest gods. He was killed by an arrow shot by his blind brother(Hodr). Loki actually gave the arrow to Hodr and some say he guided it to kill Baldr.

God of war 2018 was one of the best games in history, everything pieces together nicely and whoever made the plot line really cooked. I love the little details like this, the excitement that comes while finding a way to kill the unkillable was amazing the first time.

Freya is the PERFECT EXAMPLE of a *TOXIC MOTHER* !...
Her son literally was suffering infront of her day & night with her curse(which she thinks is a GIFT!) Not able to feel Annnyyyy thing at All like se*, food, pleasure ...
But
She STILL never listened to him, understood his pain and could have just SET HIM FREE from her restriction(which she thinks is LOVE & FOR GOOD SAKE of her son) THIS TIME !
but NO, she didn't wanted her son to just get what he REAAALLLLY REALLY WANTING & SUFFERING FOR !* 😢...
