I also found out that Buddy was played by triplet girls at the beginning of the movie b/c the twin boys who were supposed to play him kept crying during filming.

Fun fact, the Riverview Hospital in Vancouver, which shut down decades ago, used to be called Essondale, and is the site of many many mental health, abuses, and deaths. Many believe the place to be haunted I personally don’t believe in ghosts, but the history of that place is tragic and violent. Glad to see it’s being used for something better these days.
