Hey everyone don't forget to do the Hard mode (NOT Challenge Mode) of Story Commissions, they have polychromes, ether plating, dennies, etc in them.

I'm glad not to have rushed. The content is very sparse once you hit lv35. At this point, I can only spend stamina and log off for the day.

Well hit level 40 recently, Ima just take my time, id rather enjoy what I can before suffering a burnout, thanks for the guide though, it'll be useful to know beforehand.

My dumbass did the rank up mission without grinding and now everything takes forever to kill 🤣

At level 49 today, I can feel all of this already. The grind truly starts. The REAL one

In Genshin, the strength increase of resin use has always been Character Levels / Talents / Weapon levels before artifacts. Looking at the damage numbers in this game it seems to be consistent as well.

I still just focus on leveling up and upgrading skills before just hard focusing disc farming. Because once I get my teams in a reasonable spot then I can focus on getting the discs I need.( attack agents first, stun, then support) it’s good to just pace yourself because gacha Games are a marathon not a race. Even more so with zzz because you simply can’t get everything you need at once

Unless you know you'll hit the next interknot milestone before the shiyu reset prefarming is waste. Especially for non refreshers

A game mode where you could straight up grind for ether batteries would be nice, but doubt it would ever happen. Make it adequately time consuming so you can at least get mileage out of the combat system and the characters you've built, but not too fast so as to undermine their business model of using polychromes to refresh. My first gatcha and honestly I am really disliking being held back by energy (and no way am I spending polychromes on it lol).

p.s. great content man

Ngl withering gardern (bar the last alteration) before you hit 60 felt really satisfying as someone who plays a lot of roguelikes

That's strange. The potential drops for materials decreased at 50. That doesn't feel good... Pretty sure all their other games only ever increased, at the very least in potential if not guaranteed drops.

For agent materials (converting to purple materials to blues for easier comparison):
At 40 : 3 guaranteed + potentially 4 more. (3-7)
At 50 : 4 guaranteed + potentially 1 more. (4-5)

Obviously have to take into account the rates at which the extra blues/purples can drop to get averages. But the rates for getting extra would have to be really bad (which they probably are) at 40 to skew the average enough for the level 50 drops to feel like a meaningful increase.

Edit: I just ran a single challenge for my coffee to test this out, and hit double 2 times the max roll for a total 2 purple 8 blue. if i were to have done that at the level 50 the max i would have gotten is 2 purple 4 blue... so i got 40% more resources on chance. Really not a fan that there's this weird gamble where the highest challenge stuff can give so much less resource. they either should have made it 1-2 purple, or left it at 0-1 and made blue 4-5, so it would be (4-8).

I think the Notorious Hunt feels bad now, but as the game continues, much like boss drops Star Rail, we'll just eventually have a stock pile and it won't be an issue anymore. Right now is when we'll have the most characters to build.

I just want to say thank you for contributions. The videos have given me a huge heads up, appreciate you.

I recommend getting to level 30-40 to get access to events and then grinding materials and doing side work.

Okay so with regards to the hunt. That's honestly really reasonable considering in genshin you don't even have a guarantee of getting the material in the weekly bosses and would need to rely on rng for the drops required to convert. On top of that the amount varied between two and three. vs this is consistent. I know for a fact it took closer to 4 weeks to triple crown arlechinno because of this.

So to me 3 weeks is fine.

**Comparing expected drops improvement from lvl 45 to 50**
> Routine cleanup: a chance of 50% more drops, so I'm putting it around a 16-25% upgrade, depending on if it's 1/2 or 1/3 to get a third drive
> Basic materials: 12.5% worst case upgrade and a 9.1% best case upgrade
> Certification seals / Engine modification materials: 33% worst case upgrade and a *28.5% BEST CASE DOWNGRADE
Assuming the drop rate of pink seals is 1/2, it's a 10% expected downgrade, and assuming the drop rate of pink seals is 1/3, it's a 0% expected change.
Definitely a weird decision. I wish they showed the true drop rate for pink seals, because that affects expected value a lot.
> Skill materials: 66% worse case upgrade and a 14% *BEST CASE DOWNGRADE* Assuming 1/2: 10% upgrade, Assuming 1/3: 22% upgrade
> Expert challenge: flat 25% increase
> Notorious Hunt: Negligible

Definitely a strange change. I think I'll be prefarming cert seals then?
Important note: battery efficiency matters more for items you need to farm more of.
Ex: Upgrading a skill from 9->10 takes 10 advanced. At level 50, you can guarantee it in 120 battery or highroll it in 100. At level 45, you can guarantee it in 200 or highroll it in also 100. That is to say, for each character, you will need to spend hundreds upon hundreds of battery to level up skills, so an increase in efficiency there is saving you much more.
Compared to that, you only need to farm to raise a character's level cap to 60 one time: you'll spend much less battery there, so the efficiency is less important. Same reasoning can go for Expert Challenge. At 50, it costs 360 flat battery to get the E&F skill nodes. At 45, it costs 480 flat battery to do the same (but it will cost 440 flat battery to get the E&F nodes for 3 more characters that use the same material, because you have 3 leftovers). That's only a 120 battery loss per character upgraded. Compare that to skill levels where you stand to lose upwards of 400 battery per character by farming on a less efficient knot level, depending on how many skills that character needs leveled and how high you want to go (Invested Nekomata benefits from basically all her skills being leveled compared to an invested support lucy, who gets most of her value from just having Skill and Chain Attack levels).

Still think Routine cleanup being 60 energy is ridiculous. It should be 40 at most. That's being said, I still do 1 to 2 disk drive runs daily and use the rest of my energy (180) on mats. I thinks it's allowed me to get my characters to a good place while still focusing on how I build them. I already managed to farm a full set of disk drives for Zhu Yuan and Ellen so now I can slowly build my supports. Also, keep in mind that a bunch of purple drives isn't always a waste since you can break them down giving you dennies and a chance to make a gold disc drive every 10 pulls. And if those suck just break those down.

N Hunts are just enough to max each new character but forgot about doing A ranks or standard characters.

My only problem with Nest is that the final boss fight is not as interesting as any of the mini boss before reaching him
