So if I want to introduce green algae into my tank, I should open my tank's cabinets and open the glass? Because at the moment I'm only getting brown algae (diatoms). The tank is about 2 months old with a small fish load (440L)

Does that reddish algae become green algae later on? Mine looks the same, it's starting to change over slowly. Maybe I need more light not sure.
