Struggling restaurants and bars in San Francisco are trying to figure out how to navigate the omicron surge that has kept many patrons away. Christie Smith reports.

San Francisco is an American city with a rich history that adds more tax revenue to the federal government per capital than any other city. It’s a competitive place. Extremely competitive job markets housing markets and it like every other major city in the US is faced with many challenges. It is by no means a 3rd world country. Let’s just set that one straight. It’s extremely diverse and offers many resources unavailable in a 3rd world country. Seriously you’re undermining the actual severity of the 3rd world. Are we that ignorant. Many people in the world suffer. SF is a beautiful place with tons of stuff to do. If you can’t find anything to do inSF or the areas surrounding it you have a serious lack of imagination and or are tragically lazy. Often times people who can’t swim in the big kid pool diss the deep end to justify staying within the safety of the kiddie pool. SF has many challenges in a challenging time and That’s for certain. What’s not is the preoccupation with SF by mouth breathers who’s never make it in San Francisco and have little or no understanding of it or it’s history and major contribution to the United States. CallIng yourself patriotic and diss San Francisco is ignorant.

End the lockdowns, end government interference, end silly restriction. The restaurants will
recover just fine all by themselves. You have to let people in to buy their food if you want to stay in business.

the Q bots are more focused on ending mandates instead of ending covid. it's covid that makes me reluctant to go and dine indoors so i order take out. i'm glad that SF is one of the best cities about wearing masks. thank you to everyone who got vaccinated, stays home when they're sick, gets tested, wears masks, distances, didn't gather for the holidays, and still finds ways to support our local businesses.
