Hello homeschool friends! I'm excited to share the resources we're using this year for our Form 3/4 (9th/8th Grade) and Form 2A (5th/4th Grade) children 📚 These resources are tailored to our unique homeschooling style as Charlotte Mason / Passion & Interest-Led Homeschoolers (with some Classical mixed in).

Please keep in mind that these choices fit our children best, but I hope they inspire and spark ideas for your own homeschool journey. If you have any questions, I'm more than happy to help. Thank you so much for watching! 💕

Nicole’s so much inspiration! Thank you so much for sharing❤.
I would caution though about The Giver. I read that with my fifth grader last year and found it very disturbing, we had to stop. I on the other hand read it through and continued to be horrified by the content. Lots of nudity, children bathing old people, pubescent fantasies, baby murder ons more. Just thought I’d mention if you weren’t aware. Online descriptions of that book never mention those things.

Always love your curriculum videos! This year felt strangely difficult to plan out for me (even though I plan like 6ish weeks at a time). The amount of resources out there is insane and finding the balance of having a rich, varied education without letting it feel like drinking out of a fire hose was trickier than usual. I prefer to do it myself so I guess I kind of signed myself for this haha! It’s so important to step back and focus on our own kids needs and interest, thank you for that reminder. It’s needed!

Thanks for sharing. I loved what you said at the 6min 34 second mark, I do exactly the same. It seems illogical to plan math, we do the next lesson too, and if mine need to slow down or do some review with Saxon, I’ll give them for that following day questions from certain lessons. So we end up with math with starting a new book and finishing at any point in the academic year.

You say you do short lessons, but this looks like so much stuff. I can’t wrap my brain around how you get it all in and don’t lose their attention. Please help me understand. Do you have a DITL videos?

Do you wait on grammar with your daughter? I have a 4th grader who loves animals. We just bought Hstorical Animals by Julie.Moberg and she loved it which is great as she doesnt really like history. If your daughter hasnt read Rascal its great and That quail Robert as a read aloud was wonderful. Thanks for this video and encouraging moms to fit homeschooling to their children not children to homschooling curriculum.

I'm very interested in your Ancient History curriculum. It's published by a Catholic company and we aren't Catholic. Does it include anything regarding religion/doctrine? I mean, it's before Jesus so I doubt it would have much if any. But I've been curious about it.

If you guys end up loving The Vanderbeekers as much as we did, it's actually a series! There are 5 more books you can read.

Love this! Ps do all Homeschool do something religious. Im not at all, my dad was a pastor and while in. Church i was molested as a child by a female so needless to say, religious/church brings bad memories/emotions. Im trying to set up curriculum, 1st time doing it and everyone seems to add some kind of bible study or verse reading kind of thing. Can it be done without the religion aspect? Everyone Ive watch has something regarding worship in it, so i’m thrown off a bit.
Ps in no way am I hating or dissing your beliefs i really hope its not coming out that way. And yes i still believe in God, i just don’t practice any religion or beliefs kind of thing. Ive lost faith in people more then God kind of thing.
