I FINALLY found a video where someone alternates the bricks to avoid those triangular gaps!! It's common sense to me, glad I'm not the only one.

that looks nice and is such a logical approach. i find I can kill weeds with boiling water so I can avoid using herbicides

This is my first time really attempting landscaping and you’ve helped me so much! You got straight to the point and made it simple

Thank you Doc for all of your videos. Trying to learn and do everything that you are saying for our lawn. Definitely work in progress. The brick boarder that you are using definitely makes your yard look so much nicer. Take care!

Doc this was a great video. I looovvve your yard. I didn't know what you were talking about when it came to what you use on your lawn, but I loved listening. I will be laying edging on a small area of my front yard and you make it look so easy. Thanks for the tips. Btw..I don't know if anyone has ever told you, but you look like Pernell Roberts (Adam Cartwright from Bonanza) when he was a little older. Keep up the good work

I like your method, others are using concrete to set their stones, I prefer the simplicity of yours.

The reading on my phone said "human char". Guess we've come a long way since animal fertilizer.
Magnificent lawn. So jealous!

The best Bermuda grass I have ever had was Zoysia. Everyone who stepped on it couldn't believe how thick it felt to them. It was like carpet with a thick undermat. You could not pull the blades apart and see the gound. Now I have moved and have a hybrid Bermuda. It's nice, but it's nothing like Zoysia.

Brilliant video. Your lawn is quality. Love the pool too! We don't get the weather here in Ireland I'm afraid!☹

You mentioned that you used the small stone for a $1.38, but you linked to the larger one that sells for $2.00. Which one did you use?

I love your house and your yard! It looks like a fun and tranquil place to hang with family! And I think that’s part of why we do all this lawn stuff 😋

I got rid of my edging last year. Got tired of the freeze/thaw cycle pushing it out of the ground. So I went with a live edge. Will see how that works out for now.

I’ll just caution that in climates like mine (zone 7) that about 3 years after installing plastic border like this, it will pop up and pull away at the junction connectors from freeze thaw cycles. I was told would happen by a pro landscaper but I thought that if I buried it well and used pins, it would keep in place. Not the case. I’ll be moving to the pliable aluminum boarder this year. I love the paver idea because it allows you to run a mower wheel along the bed over the pavers. It’s just the plastic bits I’d reconsider.
