To call it a matter of life and death is not hyperbole. With a fourth wave of COVID-19 rolling across Europe, physicians here in Germany are warning of disastrous trade-offs as intensive care units reach capacity and patients are transferred abroad for treatment.

Hospitals are seeing younger and sicker patients than in prior waves, especially amongst the unvaccinated. In Germany some 15 million people still lack immunity because they haven’t had the jab. Calls for mandatory vaccination are growing louder – neighboring countries like Austria are leading the way. Other countries are reimposing lockdowns. Not without resistance, as evidenced by recent protests. Today we’re asking: COVID-19 pandemic: Should vaccination be compulsory?

Our guests: Alexander Kekulé (virologist), Susanne Schreiber (German Ethics Council), Kai Kupferschmidt (molecular biologist and science journalist)

Lies after lies. In the spring we will be alive and you will be Lies. Let us die if we choose so.

No experimental procedure should be made mandatory.
There is insufficient long term data yet. The short term data does not look great. Waining efficacy and adverse reactions were not properly considered in the risk vs benefit assessment.
We must allow individuals the ability to choose natural immunity or vaccination - and that freedom of choice must be mandatory.

Should people be forced to give up natural immunity that’s been around for millions of years and costs nothing or become dependent on a for profit drug company that has only been around 100 years and makes billion dollar mistakes that kill people?

Should a healthy lifestyle be mandatory since 90% of patients in hospitals have comorbidities? We should but we won’t because there is no money in doing this.

Engaging in wishful thinking is a big part of the current problem in Europe.
The vaccines are no where near as effective as we thought and hoped.

Woooow...Disasters...Panics, about the quality of medical treatment? We see that in some countries, like the Netherlands, with 88%, did not bring any result.. We have a new lockdowns, new measures, full hospitals....So the solution? When the first two did not work, let's continue with the third one....Let's make it mandatory...Logic? The governments are loosing any logic in this crisis management.

The whole drama is about the health care system struggling and hospitals being overwhelmed, not people's health. 6, 000 less icu beds, not removed nor caused by unvaccinated, rather caused by govt ignoring pleas of health sector for about 20 yrs. If there was enough hospital capacity and was not at so-called 'crisis' level, I am sure this would be treated like a very bad flu year and media would not be plastering stats everywhere all day and having so many talk shows. Interesting no mention of the govt psychological tactics to make people fearful.

"So if you still need a booster after being fully vaccinated, and testing after being fully vaccinated, and hospitalizations after fully vaccinated, and masks, social distancing & and lockdowns all after being fully vaccinated?
Then it's time to admit you've fully conned."- Dr. Adam Aneevit

My body my choice.
It's not the government's or big pharma's body.

Why not focus on providing treatment regimens that can be obtained over the counter to lighten the burden on ICU

The fact that this is debatable shows the people you called "conspiracy theorists" the whole time were right about basically everything.

No it should not be compulsory! Every man, woman and child should be able to choose if they want to insert a substance in their bodies. You have no right to take the right to choose from the people. This is a very bad precedent. Once implemented, this will be the new norm.
