i know some people didn’t vibe with this lantern rite bc it “felt too much like Gaming’s story quest” which like… okay i guess, but i really enjoyed it. lantern rite is about getting people together and celebrating, and i think they did a really good job with the quest yet again. made me tear up too!

I think Lantern Rite just inherently makes me cry at this point. Something about it, you know? Ever since the first Lantern Rite, it really feels like it brings my own Genshin journey full circle. Like, oh another Lantern Rite and I know how long I've been here, and then the cutscene and the music comes together to really remind me why I'm STILL here. IDK if that makes sense. It almost feels more like the anniversary than Genshin's actual anniversary.

This year lantern rite animation is easily a 10/10. The animation and the cinematic is just purely amazing and give us so much to learn from it as an animator.

Surprising enough. This is my VERY first Lanturn Rite to celebrate. The animation was GEORGOUS!! I teared up the entire time. It gave off so much positive energy. Best event I've ever participated in 😭🙏
