Thor: Love & Thunder will see Thor coming face to face with Gorr the God Butcher, and this battle could lead to a major change in Thor, who could be on his way to becoming the God of All Gods. The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 4 is not only introducing a bunch of new characters and events, but it’s also expanding on the stories of well-established heroes, among those Thor (Chris Hemsworth), who is the first character to get four solo movies. After leaving Earth at the end of Avengers: Endgame with the Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor is coming back with a new adventure in Thor: Love & Thunder.

Directed by Taika Waititi, Thor: Love & Thunder will reunite the audience with Thor as he attempts to find inner peace after the traumatic events of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. However, Thor will be thrown back into action with the arrival of Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who’s on a mission to end with all the gods. Thor will team up again with some old friends in order to defeat Gorr, such as Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Waititi), and Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who has now become Mighty Thor. Thor: Love & Thunder will also count on the presence of the Guardians of the Galaxy, Lady Sif (Jamie Alexander), and will introduce Zeus (Russell Crowe), the king of the Olympians.

I hope Thor doesn't hang up his hammers after this one. Thor arguably suffered more than any of the Avengers through his journey. Lost his father, mother, brother, best friend Heimdall, almost lost his love Jane during Dark World, his home Asgard and its people. Then he almost killed Thanos only to see him slip away. All of this has to damage him inside tremendously. I want Thor to come out victorious at the end of this movie and become even stronger than ever before and be the ultimate protector of the realms for future attacks and battles.

the fact that zeus is apart of the mcu now, the almighty hercules (thor’s rival) is somewhere in this timeline, maybe we get a reference to him in the movie or even in a mid-credit scene.

One of the things I like about Gorr is the necrosword. Gorr himself is a formidable villain in the comics (one of the best for me) but it planted the seed for a more powerful villain, King in Black

As a Germanic Norse Pagan we Have a long history of tales of our Gods doing wonderful and fun things. they walk among us and share our days. We don't freak out over a story being told about them as long as some respect is paid. I am Loving this MCU version of out great culture and people and welcome it.
