Dividing a whole number by a fraction

👉 Learn how to divide fractions. To divide two fractions, we multiply the first fraction by the reciprocal of the second fraction. (The reciprocal of a fraction is swapping the positions of the numerator and the denominator). It is important to reciprocate only the divisor or the fraction you are dividing by. You do not flip both fractions.

I did that immediately in my head. In school, I could do math in my head, I’d have the correct answer, but my equations were nonsense. My teacher accused me once of cheating because there was no way you’d get the right answer from my equations. So I showed her and she smiled.
Eventually, I taught myself to figure out the equation from my answer. I worked it backwards.
I did get a math degree as an adult.

I learned this in '62. I was 11 at the time. Being a street youngster, it was hard to figure why I needed this.
However, it sharpened my skills, and though I'm not a business manager, I know right from wrong, and that's a good thing. GOOD always prosper. So

My teacher when she taught us this she was SCREAMING LIKE ACTUALLY SCREAMING so I got it for a little bit then so I came on YouTube and searched it up so then I saw this guy and I was like cool let me try this guy out. And he was so NICE and patient and decent and I totally understood it.

My mind: is this how teachers actually teach or is it just that my teacher is crazy?😕
